Try some new materials and techniques. A chance to play creatively in a small studio environment with a variety of materials and no worries about making a mess!

Session 1 - printing
- printing using fabric paint, acrylic paints, simple dyes.
- chance to explore the potential of scrap and everyday items to print with
- polystyrene printing
- using simple resists to create pattern

Session 2 – transfer paint
- experiment with fabric transfer paint using painting, printing, tearing and layering.

At each session you will experiment and create backgrounds that you can use in your own textile art or alternatively bring to session 3.

Session 3 - layer and stitch
- bring your experimental printed and painted backgrounds to begin to create your own layered textile picture combining fabrics, papers and stitch.
